Hi, I’m Hope!
Growing up, I would carry around a camera with me everywhere I went. Whether it was a Flip video camera or my little red Canon point and shoot, I’ve always loved being behind the camera.
In college, I majored in Communication specializing in Advertising and Public Relations and Digital Media with a minor in Marketing at Loyola University Maryland. With every free elective I had, I would use them on photography courses. I learned how to develop my own film in the darkroom, how to navigate studio photography and lighting, how to find my style, and to tell stories through images.
Now, I’ve been working in marketing and social media for the New York City running industry. I’ve photographed and captured video at countless races and live events, and even though I’ve loved every minute of it, I also think one of the most beautiful parts of photography is getting to share it with others.
I remember shooting at my sister’s bridal shower—a day celebrated with loved ones who drove hours or flew on planes to be there for her—and I got to see her live reaction to the images. We AirPlayed the gallery on our TV and scrolled through the photos, and seeing my family cry at the sight of the photos made me realize this was a dream worth chasing.
Feel free to reach out, I’d love to hear from you!
